The basic principle is to ‘live in the present and helps with subject suffering from mental tension. When the subject follows the concepts of mindfulness or ‘live in the present, it leads to realization, understanding, compassion, empathy, love. Mindfulness therapy is implemented on subjects who are not able to realize their talents, their pro’s and face a lack of awareness of their surroundings, low attention span, or attention diversion.

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy is often clubbed with Mindfulness-based Meditation Therapy. The subject having negative thoughts often leads to hatred towards themselves or others; it is because of cognition. These thoughts are meditated by the subjects and ruminate about it. The psychologist understands why these negative thoughts are formulated, and meditation techniques are induced to the subject to formulate positive thoughts. The negative thought patterns are changed to positive thoughts by the psychologist.

It’s the sole discretion of the consulting psychologist to decide if you need MBCT or any other therapy. What treatment needs to be carried out is decided at the end of the first consultation. During the first consultation, the psychologist will talk with you for 1 - 1.5 hours. The psychologist will analyse and try to understand the cause of the psychological or mental illness. The psychological diagnosis is explained to you at the end of the consultation time. A remedy or treatment or therapy (which, of course, includes the coping mechanisms) shall be discussed with you. If any sessions are required, the psychologist will explain to you and what you can expect from it.
