How is Generalized Anxiety Disorder Diagnosed?
Diagnosis for generalized anxiety disorder is carried out with a mental health screening which the consultant psychologist performs on the victim. Consultant psychologist shall ask you a series of questions about the victim’s symptoms and how long the victim has been experiencing it.
To determine if the victim has any illness or substance abuse which causes the symptoms, medical tests would be conducted. As often anxiety is often linked to gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), heart disease, thyroid disorders, and menopause.
